My son and daughter-in-law work for a truck dealer. They sell everything from small cube-trucks to semis.
The amount of money they're spending on fuel really puts things in perspective. Just think how much more we're all paying for everything those truckers deliver (which is basically everything we purchase).
It is funny to hear what they consider "good" mileage. But then again, going from 4.5 mpg to 6.5 mpg is a 44% increase in mpg. If everyone could increase their mpg by 44%, we'd be in much better financial and environmental shape.
